PRIME FUNCTION

To develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and engineering methods for aerospace components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, improving productivity, and supporting seamless product transitions into production.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and engineering methods.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Review and apply aerospace specifications during process planning.
• Prepare engineering documentation such as PPAP, Work Instructions, and related technical documents.
• Use CAD software for 3D modelling, drafting, and design validation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, contract reviews, risk analyses, PFMEA, and APQP documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth new product introduction (NPI).
• Analyse production data to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and methods to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

AUTHORITY

• Authority to review and approve process documentation related to assigned projects.
• Authority to coordinate with internal teams for process development and improvements.
• Authority to provide technical inputs for tooling, fixtures, and process optimization.

JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY

Qualification:

• BE/Diploma/B. Tech or any relevant field

Experience:

• 9 - 12 years

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software for modelling and drafting.
• Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and work instruction preparation.
• Understanding of aerospace manufacturing specifications and standards.
• AS9100 QMS and Documentation awareness.
