PRIME FUNCTION
To manage and optimize Sansera’s treasury operations, including cash and liquidity management, banking relationships, working capital, foreign exchange, trade finance, investments, borrowing, and financial risk management. The role will ensure adequate liquidity, effective utilization of funds, compliance with treasury policies, and minimization of financial and FX risks across the Sansera Group.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cash & Liquidity Management
- Manage daily cash flow, fund positioning, and liquidity requirements across the organization.
- Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts and monitor actuals against projections.
- Ensure adequate availability of funds for working capital, capex, debt servicing, and other business requirements.
- Optimize surplus cash utilization and minimize idle funds and finance costs.
- Monitor inter-company fund movements and ensure efficient utilization of group liquidity.
2. Banking & Financial Institution Management
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions across domestic and international operations.
- Negotiate banking facilities, pricing, interest rates, transaction charges, and other commercial terms.
- Monitor working capital limits, fund-based and non-fund-based facilities.
- Coordinate with banks for account management, payment solutions, guarantees, LC facilities, and other treasury requirements.
- Review banking arrangements periodically and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
3. Foreign Exchange & Risk Management
- Monitor foreign currency exposures arising from exports, imports, loans, and other business transactions.
- Develop and execute appropriate FX hedging strategies in line with company policy.
- Monitor exchange-rate movements and evaluate their impact on profitability and cash flows.
- Ensure timely execution, documentation, accounting, and reporting of FX hedging transactions.
- Coordinate with business and finance teams to identify and mitigate currency risks.
4. Trade Finance
- Manage Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and other trade finance instruments.
- Ensure timely issuance, amendment, renewal, and closure of LCs/BGs.
- Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders for import/export-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable banking and regulatory requirements.
5. Borrowings & Debt Management
- Monitor existing loans, working capital borrowings, repayment schedules, and interest costs.
- Support the CFO/Finance leadership in evaluating new borrowing requirements and financing options.
- Track debt covenants, security documentation, and other lender requirements.
- Evaluate opportunities for refinancing and optimization of the company's cost of funds.
6. Working Capital Management
- Partner with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Business teams to optimize working capital.
- Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and cash conversion cycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash flow and reduce working capital requirements.
- Prepare working capital dashboards and management reports.
7. Treasury Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly treasury reports covering cash position, liquidity, borrowings, FX exposure, and investments.
- Provide treasury MIS and analytical reports to senior management.
- Monitor key treasury KPIs and highlight deviations, risks, and corrective actions.
- Support management with financial and liquidity analysis for strategic decisions.
8. Compliance & Controls
- Ensure treasury transactions are executed in accordance with approved policies, delegated authorities, and internal controls.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for treasury transactions.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, and other stakeholders for treasury-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable RBI, FEMA, Companies Act, tax, and other regulatory requirements.
9. Process Improvement & Digitalization
- Drive standardization and automation of treasury processes across plants/business units.
- Identify opportunities for improving cash visibility, payment processes, reporting, and controls.
- Support implementation/enhancement of ERP and treasury management systems.
- Establish robust treasury governance and control mechanisms.
AUTHORITY
- Recommend and execute treasury transactions within the approved delegation of authority.
- Liaise and negotiate with banks and financial institutions within approved limits.
- Recommend appropriate FX hedging strategies based on exposure and company policy.
- Recommend optimization of banking facilities, borrowing costs, and cash utilization.
- Review and recommend improvements to treasury processes, controls, and banking arrangements.
- Escalate material liquidity, FX, interest-rate, or financial risks to the Finance leadership.
JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY
Education
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance / equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Treasury, Corporate Finance, Banking, and Working Capital Management.
Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Treasury / Corporate Finance.
- Experience in a manufacturing / automotive / engineering / export-oriented organization will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in cash management, working capital, FX, trade finance, banking, and borrowings.
