PRIME FUNCTION
To support plant productivity, cost efficiency, and operational excellence through work measurement, process optimization, manpower planning, layout improvement, and capacity enhancement, using Industrial Engineering tools and methodologies.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct time and motion studies, line balancing, and work measurement to improve productivity.
- Standardize processes and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform manpower calculations, capacity studies, and takt time analysis.
- Analyze and improve plant and workstation layouts to enhance flow and reduce handling.
- Track and analyze labor productivity, utilization, and efficiency metrics.
- Support cost‑reduction projects through improved methods and resource optimization.
- Collect and analyze production data related to cycle time, output, downtime, and losses.
Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for plant reviews.
AUTHORITY
- Facilitate Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives within assigned areas.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and HR teams for implementation of approved improvement initiatives.

JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY
Knowledge of Industrial Engineering tools & techniques.
Proficiency in MS Excel (analysis, dashboards), PowerPoint.
Exposure to Lean, Kaizen, VSM, 5S, time study, work sampling.
1–2 years of hands‑on IE experience.
Experience in automotive or similar industries preferred.
Exposure to productivity improvement or CI projects is a strong advantage.
