Job Title:  SENIOR ENGINEER - Process Engineeriing

Job Description: 

a. Process Engineering

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality
  • Perform process validation, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and cycle time analysis
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement projects
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control plans
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through PFMEA
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, safety, and regulatory requirements

b. New Product Development (NPD)

  • Manage end-to-end product development lifecycle (prototype → prelunch → production)
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, quality, procurement, and production teams
  • Develop process flow diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, and control plans for new products
  • Coordinate pilot runs, trials, and product validation activities
  • Ensure smooth product transfer from development to mass production
  • Support customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation

c. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work with quality team for product approvals (PPAP, FAI, etc.)
  • Align with production team for phase review the projects
  • Interface with technical queries and product approvals

d. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project timelines, reports, and technical documentation
  • Track KPIs such as yield, scrap, cycle time, and cost
  • Prepare management reports and presentations

e. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On time delevred the process doucuments as per the deadline.
  • Improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY)
  • Successful NPI (New Product Introduction) timelines
  • Reduction in rejections, defects, and rework
  • Achievement of project milestones
  • Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

f. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, APQP
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and stakeholder coordination
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint & Auto CAD tools
