Job Description:
a. Process Engineering
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality
- Perform process validation, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and cycle time analysis
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement projects
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control plans
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through PFMEA
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, safety, and regulatory requirements
b. New Product Development (NPD)
- Manage end-to-end product development lifecycle (prototype → prelunch → production)
- Collaborate with R&D, design, quality, procurement, and production teams
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, and control plans for new products
- Coordinate pilot runs, trials, and product validation activities
- Ensure smooth product transfer from development to mass production
- Support customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
c. Cross-functional Coordination
- Work with quality team for product approvals (PPAP, FAI, etc.)
- Align with production team for phase review the projects
- Interface with technical queries and product approvals
d. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project timelines, reports, and technical documentation
- Track KPIs such as yield, scrap, cycle time, and cost
- Prepare management reports and presentations
e. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On time delevred the process doucuments as per the deadline.
- Improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY)
- Successful NPI (New Product Introduction) timelines
- Reduction in rejections, defects, and rework
- Achievement of project milestones
- Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
f. Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, APQP
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management and stakeholder coordination
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint & Auto CAD tools
