To ensure smooth functioning of machines and equipment’s.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure equipment capability, availability, and reliability to meet production and quality targets
• Implement and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) systems
• Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans related to equipment
• Ensure breakdown analysis and root cause elimination (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone)
• Maintain machine calibration and validation status
• Manage spare parts control and critical spares availability
• Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives
• Ensure error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) devices are functional
• Identify and control maintenance-related hazards and risks
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures during maintenance work
• Provide and enforce use of PPE
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for maintenance team
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions
• Ensure machine safety systems (guards, interlocks) are functional
• Maintain statutory compliance for equipment (pressure vessels, lifting tools, etc.)
• Participate in internal audits and customer audits.
• Ensure energy-efficient operation of equipment and utilities
• Monitor and analyse energy consumption (electricity, fuel, air, etc.)
• Maintain energy performance indicators (EnPIs)
• Identify and implement energy-saving opportunities.
• Budget planning for maintenance activities.
• Execution of Department objectives as per the Business Plan.
• Manage and Ensure Execution of requirements On IATF 16949:2016, EHS 14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, EnMS 50001:2018.
• Monitoring Green Energy allotment as per the Business Plan.

AUTHORITY

Authorized to carry out maintenance activities on all machines and equipment.

Engineering background with knowledge in maintenance of machines and equipment’s.

 Knowledge of maintenance practices with around 10 years of experience.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical & Automations

Effective communication, Documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

High degree of coordination with other departments such as   production, quality, MFG, Engineering.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

Machine break down time, MTBF, MTTR, Machines/Equipment’s uptime, Maintenance cost, Efficiencies of machines and equipment’s & Effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance.
