Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Execution 

  • Execute Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for industrial construction projects. 

  • Coordinate with civil, structural, and architectural teams for smooth MEP integration. 

  • Ensure MEP installation complies with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. 

  • Monitor site activities for HVAC, electrical distribution, ELV works, fire protection systems, compressed air systems, and plumbing networks. 

Planning & Coordination 

  • Review MEP drawings and coordinate with consultants and contractors. 

  • Prepare method statements, work schedules, and execution plans. 

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely delivery and installation of equipment. 

  • Participate in project planning meetings and progress reviews. 

Quality Control 

  • Ensure all MEP works meet project quality standards. 

  • Conduct inspections and testing of installations such as: 

  • HVAC systems 

  • Electrical panels and cabling 

  • ELV system 

  • Fire fighting systems 

  • Water supply and drainage systems 

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes such as IS standards, EnMS standards, EHS & OHSAS standards, NBC guidelines, and safety regulations. 

Cost & Material Management 

  • Verify BOQ quantities and track material consumption. 

  • Coordinate procurement of MEP materials and equipment. 

  • Review contractor bills and certify work completion. 

Testing & Commissioning 

  • Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems. 

  • Prepare commissioning documentation and as-built drawings. 

  • Ensure proper functioning of all installed systems. 

Safety & Compliance 

  • Ensure site safety practices during MEP installation. 

  • Follow statutory regulations and industrial safety standards. 

  • Coordinate with EHS teams for safe execution of works. 

Shape 

Required Skills 

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, ELV system, firefighting, plumbing systems. 

  • Experience in industrial plant utilities such as compressed air, chilled water, and process utilities. 

  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and shop drawings. 

  • Knowledge of project planning tools and reporting. 

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Project / Excel. 

  • Good coordination and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, forging manufacturing plant projects. 

  • Experience working with PMC, EPC contractors, or industrial developers.
