PRIME FUNCTION
Responsible for administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 services, Windows servers, network security, and end-user systems to ensure secure, stable, scalable, and highly available IT operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, user provisioning, and identity/access management.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments including file services, permissions, backup, monitoring, and patch management.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls including VPNs, NAT, ACLs, web filtering, and security policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks, switches, routers, and internet connectivity issues.
- Support wireless infrastructure including access points, SSIDs, user authentication, and network optimization.
- Manage SSL certificates, PKI concepts, SFTP configurations, and secure communication mechanisms.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve infrastructure, server, email, endpoint, and network-related issues.
- Manage endpoint security, antivirus, compliance, and asset management solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for escalations, support, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, asset inventory, backup records, and infrastructure diagrams.
- Ensure adherence to IT security standards, backup policies, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
- Provide timely technical support to end users and ensure incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs.
- Support automation and administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting where applicable.
AUTHORITY
- Recommend infrastructure improvements, security enhancements, and system optimization measures.
- Escalate critical incidents and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
- Approve routine user access requests and infrastructure support activities as per policy.
JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration.
- Good knowledge of FortiGate firewall administration, VPNs, and network security concepts.
- Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networking, switching, routing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SSL certificates, PKI, SFTP, encryption, and secure communication concepts.
- Experience in troubleshooting infrastructure, server, network, endpoint, and Microsoft 365-related issues.
- Knowledge of backup, patch management, antivirus, and endpoint management solutions.
- Basic scripting and automation knowledge using PowerShell.
- Good communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT support activities effectively.
