Job Description:
Job Purpose
To develop practical industrial experience in electrical maintenance and support the maintenance team in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production machines and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preventive maintenance activities of machines and electrical equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting of motors, sensors, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, fuses, transformers, SMPS, control panels, and cables.
- Assist in checking and troubleshooting basic electrical circuits and control wiring.
- Support maintenance of CNC machines, production machines, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other plant equipment.
- Assist in identifying electrical faults during machine breakdowns and learn systematic fault-finding techniques.
- Take basic electrical measurements using multimeter, clamp meter, megger, and other electrical testing instruments under supervision.
- Assist in inspection of electrical panels, terminals, cables, motors, and other electrical components.
- Support preventive maintenance of motors, control panels, electrical distribution systems, and machine electrical systems.
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, shifting, and electrical connection work.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, inspections, and spare parts.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) practices.
- Follow 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for machine-related electrical issues.
- Perform any other maintenance-related tasks assigned by the senior engineer.
Required Technical Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and electrical components.
- Basic knowledge of AC/DC motors and starters.
- Basic understanding of PLC, sensors, VFD/drive, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
- Basic knowledge of electrical panels and industrial wiring.
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety and earthing systems.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and MS Word.
