PRIME FUNCTION
Pre-Delivery Inspection
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements before inspection.
- verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, thread gauges, feeler gauge, and CMM.
- Raise and document non-conformance reports (NCR) for rejected parts/material.
- Support root cause analysis using 5 Why / Fishbone and implement corrective actions.
- Verify traceability of material, certifications, and process documentation.
- Support internal, customer, and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.
AUTHORITY
- Authority to accept or reject products based on drawing/specification requirements.
- Authority to stop movement of non-conforming products to next process.
- Authority to raise NCR and initiate containment action.
- Authority to escalate quality concerns to Quality Manager / Production team.
JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY
Qualification:
- Diploma or any relevant field
Experience:
- 1–4 years (Preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing)
Technical Knowledge:
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges
- Knowledge of NCR, CAPA, and root cause analysis
- Basic knowledge of quality standards such as International Aerospace Quality Group AS9100 or International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001
- Basic understanding of material certification and traceability requirements
