Prime Responsibility

To support day-to-day machine shop production activities by ensuring safe machine operation, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and following standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support production activities. 

• Ensure production as per daily plan, cycle time and quality requirements.

• Follow SOP, Work Instructions, Control Plan and safety standards.

• Conduct basic in-process inspection and identify quality abnormalities.

• Maintain 5S, housekeeping and discipline at the workplace.

• Record production, rejection, downtime and other required shopfloor data.

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams for resolving shopfloor issues.

• Support line changeover, tool change and machine setting activities as required.

• Identify abnormalities and immediately report them to the supervisor.

• Participate in Kaizen, TPM, Poka-Yoke and continuous improvement activities.

• Learn and develop skills on different machine shop processes and equipment.

• Ensure proper handling of components, tools, gauges and measuring instruments.

Required Competencies

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.

• Basic knowledge of machine shop operations.

• Safety-conscious and disciplined approach.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and computer operations.
